Forests loop beautifully because nothing in them has to get anywhere. Water runs, leaves stir, mist drifts, and the tenth second looks like the first, so the join in a loop is invisible. It is much the same reason a walk in one is restful.
For work, choose slow movement in muted colour: mist in pines, a still pond, snow falling through bare trees. They sit behind text without tugging at your attention. The scenes full of fireflies or flickering light are lovely, and busier at the edge of your vision.
For play, the night forests and the autumn ones, with glowing paths, deep shadow and strong colour, are at their best on a bright, high-contrast display in a dim room.
