For work, a city seen from far away or through a window: the motion is small, the lights are soft, and a dark picture keeps your icons easy to read. A close street with passing traffic is busier, and better saved for evenings.
For play, neon: synthwave skylines, a rainy street with its signs doubled in the puddles, towers under a big moon. They hold up beside coloured keyboard lighting, and look best on a display with deep blacks.
