Seasill gives it a view. A small piece of software for making the place you spend your day feel a little more like yours.
A sea. A sill. A view.
A sill is the ledge of a window. The sea is what is outside it. Seasill brings that idea to your desktop: your windows stay useful, and something alive sits just beyond them.
Let the view do the talking.
Dark surfaces let moving light stand out. Warm paper makes reading comfortable. Floating controls keep the tools close without taking over the picture.
The mark is a rolled sheet unfurling into a wave. What unrolls from it is alive.
Good company for your computer.
A wallpaper should know when to be quiet. Seasill adapts to your computer’s playback conditions, keeps your library on your machine, and explains what it is doing.
Who makes it.
Seasill is made by an independent studio. It grew from Phosphene by kageroumado, whose way of making a real macOS wallpaper out of a video is still at the heart of Seasill on the Mac, and whose MIT notice Seasill keeps.
