About these terms.

These terms cover seasill.com, your Seasill account and Seasill’s plans. The Seasill app itself is licensed to you under the end-user licence agreement, and how we handle information is set out in the privacy policy. Together, they are the agreement between you and Seasill.

“Seasill”, “we” and “us” mean [Placeholder: seller’s legal name], of [Placeholder: seller’s registered address].

Where things stand.

The first public release of Seasill is not published yet, and sales are not open: nothing on this site takes payment today. These terms describe how the plans work once they are on sale; the parts about trials, billing and refunds apply from then.

Your account.

Saving wallpapers from the catalogue, and a paid plan, need a Seasill account: an email address and a password. Use an email address you can receive mail at, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at support@seasill.com if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person, and you are responsible for what happens under it.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can.

Plans.

Free costs nothing and has no time limit. Seasill, at $29 a year, covers one computer; Seasill Pro, at $59 a year, covers three, in any mix of Mac and Windows. What each plan includes, and the limits of Free, are set out on the pricing page. Your own videos are never marked, reduced in resolution or counted, on any plan.

The free trial.

Seasill and Seasill Pro each begin with a seven-day free trial. Starting one needs a valid payment card. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you do not, your subscription begins when the trial ends, and the first yearly fee is charged to that card.

Billing and renewal.

Paid plans are billed yearly, in advance, in US dollars; taxes are added where they apply. A plan renews automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel before then, at the price in effect at the time. We will tell you about a price change by email before it applies to your renewal. Each paid year includes the updates to Seasill released during it.

Payments are handled by our payment provider, which receives your card details directly; we never receive or store your full card number. If a payment fails, we will tell you, and your plan continues for a short grace period while it is put right.

Cancelling.

You can cancel at any time — from your account on seasill.com once sales open, or by writing to support@seasill.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

When a plan ends.

When a paid plan ends — cancelled, expired, or unpaid after its grace period — every computer on your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted: the catalogue wallpapers you saved stay on your computer, play within Free’s limits, and play in full again if you subscribe again.

The catalogue.

Catalogue wallpapers are licensed to you, not sold, for your personal use as wallpapers inside Seasill. You may not copy them out of the app for use elsewhere, share or sell them, or use them in other work. The catalogue changes over time, and a wallpaper that is there today may not be there later. The licence agreement sets this out in full.

Using Seasill fairly.

You agree not to work around the app’s licence checks, its plan limits or its corner mark; not to share an account or a plan beyond the computers it covers, or resell or transfer one; not to reach the catalogue other than through the app, or scrape or bulk-download it; and not to use Seasill in a way that harms the service or other people.

You are responsible for the videos you add yourself, and for having the right to use them. Some sites, YouTube among them, do not allow their videos to be downloaded; when you add a link, respect the terms of the site it comes from.

The browser demo.

The interactive demo on this site runs the production interface with a simulated host. Downloads, imports, display changes and playback conditions inside it demonstrate the interface; they do not control your computer’s desktop, and nothing you do in it creates an account, a plan or a charge.

Changes.

We improve Seasill and this site over time, and may change or stop offering a feature. We will not reduce what a paid plan includes during a period you have already paid for. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.

Warranty and liability.

Seasill and this site are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that they will always be available or free of errors, and our liability is limited as the licence agreement sets out. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or affects your rights as a consumer.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of [Placeholder: governing law and courts, to be set with counsel]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
